Rhetorical Residence
The spacious apartment had five bedrooms, living, dining, kitchen and utility area with servant quarter which later converted to 3 bedroom, an entertainment room and a family sitting.The furniture of the formal living room is richly layered and textured with a judicious mix of materials. The arrangement centered around the carpet which is hand tufted in silk and wool, a suspended wooden jali forms a larger chandelier which gives air of quiet luxury to the contemporary living space.
The mandir is stitched into the partition providing an enclosure and transparency to the entertainment area. The design of the same is such where the language and pattern is bold, extracting the concept of creating a distinct ambience appropriate to its functions.The bedrooms are visually light weight. The usual composition of white walls and wooden floor is illuminated with light, and is refreshed with a texture and green aside.
